Savio Mascarenhas is the Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha. He is the co-creator of characters like Mopes and Purr, Super Suppandi, Janoo and Woolly Woo, and Little Shambu characters from TINKLE. He has been illustrating the adventures of Shikari Shambu for the past 24 years now. He is also a TEDx speaker on the subject of the use of visuals in learning, a term he has coined VAL (Visual Art Learning). When he is not at his workstation, he enjoys conducting comic-making workshops for children and adults alike, spreading his love for comics.
