This documentary film shares insights from some of the lives Seagull has touched over the last four decades and will be screened as a part of the 40th anniversary of Seagull Books celebration. The film features interviews with the Seagull team, especially Naveen Kishore who shares fragments of his extraordinary journey from theatre-lighting designer to publisher. The film explores how Seagull Books remains proudly at home in Calcutta but is truly a publisher for and of the world.

Seagull Books was founded in 1982 as an independent Indian publishing house specializing in serious books on art, theatre and cinema. It publishes world literature in English translation, serious non-fiction, culture studies, performance studies, art and cinema, with attention to exquisite design and world-class production.
